When riding in the Arcadia management area last week we heard gun shots. I thought it was archery, anyone know?

The South County Rod & Gun Club is nearby...possibly the gunfire noise came from there. If not and you're concerned, call the Police or DEM and let them investigate. If you ride out there regularly, it's always a good idea to have both those numbers in your cell phone, in case of an emergency, anyway.

Wondered if a rod and gun club was close. We had our blaze orange on. Thanks.

DEM ranger saw me on horseback this weekend at the trail head. Nice young gentleman told me that it is bow season but open season for woodchucks all year round. Said season started early this year and to make sure you wear your orange. He said it always to be safe than sorry. Seeing the many hunters out there it would be the safest thing to always do

I think bird season is on now also. There are lots of Turkeys this year and those are a gun game. Everyone stay safe.
