So I had to put my mare down right before Thanksgiving. I had her almost 25 years. Iím still reeling and lost. But I got an email from the owner of the barn where I kept her for the last 7+ years that she will be having a stall open up later this summer and will hold it for me if I think Iíll be finding a new friend. Iím considering looking. I figure Iíll start local and see if anyone is seeking a lifelong placement for an extra horse! Iím not terribly picky. Sane and sound are my biggest needs. It doesnít have to be push button or a plug but having two young kids now I canít risk taking on a head case! 15-16 hands, I prefer dressage and trails, happy to do some cross rails but not a deal breaker if it canít jump as Iím kind of chicken over fences! Lol! Something my kids could be led around on is a huge bonus! I love TB and Morgan but quite open to others. Same and sound are my only musts. Everything else is secondary. I do have the means to care for a horse but I do t have a huge purchase price available. So a free lease or
relieving someone of having too many horses is ideal. I have barn owner, vet and farrier references. Not in a rush. Iím in this for life so I will wait for the right one! Anyway, figured Iíd start casting the net. With kids going off to college this might even work if someone just needs a better way to care for their horse for the school year.

Maybe you should talk to Bill? If he's considering cutting his herd down..perhaps he has someone that might meet your needs???

Bill's horses are all totally bombproof trail horses (that could also school into other disciplines I am sure) and he has a gorgeous young bay Arab, Willie. Could be a potential win win? I LOVE Willie! :-)

I have a 17h TB mare. Shes beem restarted and is going nicely wtc. I'd be interested in her going out on a lease to own? I dont want to see her ever in an auction situation so might be a good situation for her.

Oh nice mismagetta. Timing is off here, but I just saw this video Bill posted. Sounds like he may be considering rehoming some. Love Willy and Freddie. All well trained trail horses. Willy is for sure a diamond in the rough, just needs someone to love him and continue on with the training Bill has given him. I have always loved Willy and seen such potential in him to do anything, he is so young and talented. Something else to think about (or confuse you?)Ö lol here it is...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBxmg2o9SFE Excited to hear you found one to try out! Have fun!!
