This morning my horses will not eat their grain. I feed Blue Seal Carb guard. This morning's feed is from a new bag. It doesn't smell bad to me, but it certainly does to them. They are eating everything else. Unfortunately, the store I buy it at is not open today. I guess I will go to The Mane Place and pick up the closest thing they have to it. I hate to make sudden changes to their diet. Advice is welcome and appreciated.

Yes I'd def take it back. Have you had problems with them eating it before? If you are looking to change Poulin makes a great product with only 7% NSC. It is called E-Tec Carb Safe. Love Poulin products. I changed over from Blue Seal years ago and although they do make great products it has worked out much better for me, also I find them more affordable. Here is the link if you are interested. https://www.poulingrain.com/products/173/e-tec-carb-safe

Thanks, Maresgreat! That is what I got at Mane Place today. I think the Carb Safe is tainted because they never have refused it before, and I could tell they really wanted to eat it before they smelled it. This seems like it will be a good change!

Happy to hear you found a good substitute. I love Poulin. My young horse is on the E-Tec One. A quality product at a good price and also great grain specialists are always available online if you ever have any questions or want a hay analysis done! I bet your horses will love it!! :-)

Yes, thank you so much for recommending the Etech carbsafe. It's comforting.
