Hi All!
We are wondering if anyone has experience buying from these folks.
Would appreciate any feedback - good or bad. Please don't post any negatives - but email would be great.
Thank you!

No personal experience- but your typical dealer.... So just be aware of all typical dealer issues ....

I would say the following would apply when purchasing from ANY high volume dealer- Where horses are being bought and sold or traded in fairly high volumes and or rates...

They don't always know the horses very well - so the horse may not be represented 100% accurately ( this may or may not be intentional)- and keep in mind their #1 priority is selling a horse.
You should invest in a thorough pre- purchase exam including pulling blood for drug testing.
After purchase you should plan to have a quarantine set-up.

Is it possible to find a decent horse at a decent price? absolutely- IF you know what you are looking at and trusting only your own assessment of the horse (or some other experienced horseman you may bring or hire to help you) .

We bought two from them. We had a good experience with them. But as with any dealer, know what you are looking for and/or bring someone along with you. if you go to their horses sold page and scroll down, one of ours in the fjord, he has turned out to be an awesome guy.It was quite the ride to get to their place.

I bought a QH from them last year, he has a few quirks, but overall he is great, couldn't be happier! They were patient as I tried out about half a dozen horses, it was a haul for me to get there but worth the trip.

Thank you maresrgreat. He is a super guy. We liked the breed so much that about a year later we came across a fjord mare for sale, not at Gonyaw's, much closer to home and we have her as well.

I bought 2 from them that they brought to an auction.....wasn't told true age or that they both had off/on lameness issues. Very happy with the horses in general as far as temperment, etc. Just told alot younger then they really were.

No personal input other than a friend has bought a nice horse from them, she said they were great to deal with. A local dealer up here buys horses from them and they have nice quality stock. not cheap stuff. good luck!
Standardbreds and Morgans, they do it all.
