Does anyone have a farrier they suggest who can shoe horses with very special needs and corrections? I have a horse with highly specific needs based on an old injury. Also, farrier needs to work very well with vet collaboration. Thanks for your help!

Metro West covers a lot of area. I know of Eric John who is an excellent farrier, but doesn't take new clients that are not in "his area" because he is unable to service them. Does your vet know if a farrier they can suggest to you?

I have one but hes having back surgery soon so he’ll be out for awhile. Otherwise He would have been great for you. My mare has very specific shoeing needs and matt has always worked well with both vets ive used for this mare. I dont know who to suggest. There are ones i wouldnt use. Have you asked your vet who he/she would recommend? Thats sometimes a good place to start.
